Inspired by The Humanoid, one of their favourite movies, US band Ganymede wrote and recorded the stunning and evocative synth-pop dance track 'Love Games' , which featured on their second album release 'Euromantique'.  I was delighted to receive the following email from main man David Friede:

" Here is "Love Games" by Ganymede, hope you enjoy it.  The lyrics are
indirectly about the story and theme of The Humanoid; we didn't want to
give any real direct references as to not alienate anyone who doesn't know
the film (which is just about everyone!)  I suppose the style is generally
similar to the Humanoid theme music, as they're both done in a
synth-disco style. "

The tune is reminiscent of early 80s electronica like Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark , while the lyrics are especially evocative and poignant, and have made me sympathise all the more with the Golob the Humanoid character..

He's just an ordinary man
Living his ordinary life
No one ever coming, and no one ever going
He flies alone right through the night .

And then one day he came upon
a strange ship floating in the sky
"Copy copy ,
Do u read me ?"
But they never bothered to reply .
And then she came into his life
He fell from the skies into her arms
Under her spell
He used to be a man
But nothing ever stays the same for victims of her
Love games ..

And now his mind is not his own
And she controls his every thought
His every wish and his every desire
And everything that hes been taught .
If only he could break away
Before he falls into the void
But when he sees her
His heart takes him over
And he becomes a HUMANOID..

And then she came into his life
He fell from the skies into her arms
Under her spell
He used to be a man
But nothing ever stays the same for victims of her love games

Love games... love games...
Love games... love games...

And then she came into his life
He fell from the skies into her arms
Under her spell
He used to be a man
But nothing ever stays the same for victims of her
And then she came into his life
He fell from the skies into her arms
Under her spell
He used to be a man
But nothing ever stays the same for victims of her love games
Love games... love games...
Love games...
